Appliance Fault Codes

What that error code means — and what you can safely check

Samsung washing machine error codes

Samsung washing machines show short numeric-letter codes (4C, 5E, LE, UE, dE and similar). 4C and 5E are the two most commonly reported by UK owners; meanings are stable across front-loader model lines.

Safety first

Unplug before any check. Never open panels beyond the filter flap. Anything involving internal wiring, the heater or gas must go to a professional — see each code page for its "call a professional when" line.
