Samsung oven error codes
Samsung ovens display a code (C-20, C-21, C-30, E-0 and similar) when a sensor or the electronics detect a problem. Find your code below for the meaning and safe checks.
| Code | Meaning | Severity | First action |
|---|---|---|---|
| C-20 | Oven temperature sensor open | Engineer usually needed | The cavity temperature sensor circuit is open — the electronics cannot read temperature, so heating is blocked. |
| C-21 | Oven temperature sensor short | Engineer usually needed | The sensor circuit is shorted — the same blocking condition as C-20 but the other end of the fault range. |
| C-30 | Communications / control fault | Often fixable at home | The display and main board have lost communication — often after a power glitch. |
Safety first
Unplug before any check. Never open panels beyond the filter flap. Anything involving internal wiring, the heater or gas must go to a professional — see each code page for its "call a professional when" line.
