Miele tumble-dryer error codes
Miele tumble dryers show an F-code on the display when a sensor or component fails. Find your code below for what it means and the safe checks to try first.
| Code | Meaning | Severity | First action |
|---|---|---|---|
| F21 | Drying temperature sensor | Often fixable at home | The drying-level or drum temperature sensor is out of range, so the program aborts. |
| F51 | Moisture / conductivity sensing fault | Often fixable at home | The machine cannot measure residual moisture correctly, so drying stops early or runs too long. |
| F60 | Fan / airflow fault | Often fixable at home | The circulating fan or airflow system is blocked or failed, so drying cannot proceed. |
Safety first
Unplug before any check. Never open panels beyond the filter flap. Anything involving internal wiring, the heater or gas must go to a professional — see each code page for its "call a professional when" line.
