Appliance Fault Codes

What that error code means — and what you can safely check

Bosch oven error codes

Bosch ovens show an E or F code when a sensor, door or electronics fault is detected. Find your code below for what it means and the safe checks to try first.

Bosch oven error codes
CodeMeaningSeverityFirst action
E001Temperature sensor open circuitEngineer usually neededThe oven sensor circuit is open, so the electronics cannot read cavity temperature and heating is blocked.
E002Temperature sensor short circuitEngineer usually neededThe sensor circuit is shorted — the mirror fault to E001.
E115Over-temperature detectedEngineer usually neededThe electronics recorded a cavity temperature above the safe limit — often after a faulty thermostat or blocked cooling.

Safety first

Unplug before any check. Never open panels beyond the filter flap. Anything involving internal wiring, the heater or gas must go to a professional — see each code page for its "call a professional when" line.
